Coccinelle gets together with Vogue for a green MilanA special bracelet for a truly special event
The iconic magazine Vogue is planning the second Vogue Fashion’s Night Out that will be held in major cities across the globe, including the capital of Lombardy, hot on the heels of its first, hugely popular event. The city will once again provide the backdrop for a happening that will involve more than 400 city centre stores this year on the eve of Milan Fashion week.
Coccinelle, the Italian brand that has been designing bags, shoes and accessories since 1978, certainly couldn’t miss out on a chance like this to celebrate: it will be hosting a cocktail party in its Via Manzoni store starting from 7.30 pm.
A bracelet in coloured leather, the favourite material for Coccinelle products, will also be on sale throughout the evening. The bracelet has been designed exclusively for the occasion and will have a price tag of 10 euro. Part of the proceeds will be donated to a project called ”Adopt a tree” promoted by Milan City Council.

Coccinelle Kostas Murkudis FW2010Coccinelle presents the first Coccinelle Kostas Murkudis capsule collection for autumn/winter 2010/11.
Coccinelle announces its second sensational design collaboration with the designer Kostas Murkudis, who is interpreting the brand anew with his uncompromising urban style.
His collections are complete conceptual artworks and he is just as likely to derive inspiration from materials and techniques as exciting personalities. Murkudis does not have a “Berlin style”. However, the vitality of Europe’s most exciting metropolis, his home, is undeniably an influence on his work.
“Collaborating with Coccinelle has been my greatest challenge so far!” Kostas Murkudis’ flirtation with the lady’s handbag was initially cautious and well conceived. “If you understand the principle of a handbag it quickly becomes apparent that it is about much more than functionality.”
The first Coccinelle Kostas Murkudis capsule collection was presented during Berlin Fashion Week.
Coccinelle Kids Helping Kids - Milan20th – 21st - 22nd NOVEMBER 2009
After the huge success at London, Coccinelle organised another venue for its kids-helping-kids project. This time, the invite went out to kids in Milan aged between 4 and 10. The chosen venues were Coccinelle’s boutiques in Via Manzoni and Corso Buenos Aires. Expert children’s book illustrators were on hand for any advice: Karen Wall from England and Silvia Bonanni and Francesca Crovara from Italy. It turned out to be a really special workshop: a competition where all you needed to take part was your imagination and where solidarity was the outright winner. This time, anyone who bought the canvas bags customised by the kids or by the illustrators will help Magica Cleme: a foundation that supports children staying on the paediatric Haematology and Oncology ward at Monza’s San Gerardo Hospital, offering them a chance to escape from the sterile and often traumatic condition of being in hospital for a little while.
Coccinelle kids helping kids - London11-12th SEPTEMBER 2009
«Shall we draw a picture?».
The kids who came to Coccinelle’s store on London’s King’s Road last September didn’t need asking twice. Under the watchful eye of Kristina Stephenson and Karen Wall, two hugely popular English illustrators, the baby artists were in for a great surprise: instead of the usual sheet of paper, they were handed little white canvas bags that they promptly customised with teddies, flowers, fairies, cuddly cats, tender little dragons and colourful patterns. A great way to spend an afternoon – and impress mum before proudly leaving the shop bearing an “original design” tote – and doing a good deed at the same time: all of the proceeds from the sale of the kits of “mini-tote plus felt tips” and the maxi shoppers decorated by Kristina Stephenson and Karen Wall for the occasion went to Great Ormond Street Hospital, specialised in treating children with cancer.

Forte dei Marmi25th AND 26th JUNE 2009:
Barbara Hulanicki, Swinging London’s icon fashion designer and the name behind the Boho-Déco glamour adored by rock stars, supermodels and actresses during the Sixties and Seventies, was back in the spotlight at Forte dei Marmi for two-days of glamorous, high society events: the perfect opportunity to give the international press and industry professionals a preview of the Coccinelle/Barbara Hulanicki collection for Spring Summer 2010.
"It was my first time in Versilia: I was so excited and enthusiastic to be in these "legendary" Dolce Vita places: this is where trends first started out; where enjoying life was almost a religion, a bit like the Biba shop I ran on Kensington High Street in London" said the designer. On the evening of June 25th, she met leading European journalists during a dinner party organised by Coccinelle exclusively for her: from Germany to Spain, England and Italy.
